Is ClearForTravel a government website?

No. ClearForTravel is an independent travel-information service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any government or official authority. We do not issue visas, eTAs, or any travel authorisations. Only the relevant government can approve and issue those documents.

What does ClearForTravel do and what do I get?

We prepare a personalised Travel Brief for your specific nationality and destination. It tells you whether you need a visa or travel authorisation, the entry rules that apply, links to the official government application portals, the documents you are likely to need, and a downloadable PDF you can keep for your trip.

Do I have to pay, or can I apply directly with the government myself?

You are always free to apply directly with the relevant government, and in most cases you can. ClearForTravel is an optional convenience service. Our fee is a separate service fee for researching and compiling your personalised Travel Brief; it is not a government or visa fee.

How much does it cost, and is it a one-time fee?

You pay a single one-time service fee, which is shown clearly before you check out. There are no subscriptions or hidden charges. Any government, visa, or eTA fees are separate, are set by the authorities, and are paid directly to them when you apply.

How long does visa or eTA processing take?

Processing times are set by each government, not by ClearForTravel, and they can vary from minutes to several weeks depending on the destination and your circumstances. Always check the official portal for current estimates and apply as early as possible before your trip.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy. Because the Travel Brief is a research-based digital product delivered to you, refund eligibility depends on the conditions set out there. Please review the Refund Policy or contact our support team if you have a question about your order.

Is my payment and personal data secure?

Yes. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card details. We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection laws, including the GDPR, and use it only to prepare your Travel Brief and support your order.

Which countries do you cover?

We cover travellers from and to more than 190 countries, with information for over 200 nationality and destination pairs. If we do not yet have a Travel Brief for a particular combination, we will let you know before you pay.

Do you guarantee my visa will be approved?

No. No service can guarantee approval, and we never make that promise. Only the relevant government decides whether to approve or refuse an application. ClearForTravel provides clear information and official links to help you apply correctly, but the final decision always rests with the authorities.

What languages are available?

Our interface is available in 39 languages, so you can read your Travel Brief and navigate the service in a language you are comfortable with. You can switch languages at any time from the site.
