These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Clear For Travel (“Clear For Travel”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and govern your access to and use of our website at clearfortravel.com and the related products, including the paid Travel Brief (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service or purchasing a Travel Brief you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.Service Description
Clear For Travel provides:
- A free informational website summarising publicly available travel and visa information drawn from official government sources (including but not limited to travel.state.gov, gov.uk, travel.gc.ca, smartraveller.gov.au, EU embassy portals, and destination-country immigration agencies).
- A paid Travel Brief — a personalised, AI-assisted document delivered as a PDF and as a web view, summarising entry requirements, arrival cards, advisory level, threats, embassy contacts, currency information, and recommended next actions for a given passport-country → destination-country pair and travel purpose.
- An assistant chat that helps you select your origin, destination, and travel purpose and guides you to the right product.
2.Informational Purposes Only — Not Legal or Immigration Advice
The Service is for general informational purposes only. Nothing on Clear For Travel — including the free site content, the chat assistant, the Travel Brief, and any email we send you — constitutes legal, immigration, medical, financial, insurance, or travel-safety advice. Visa policies and entry requirements change frequently and without notice, and they may differ for individuals based on personal circumstances we cannot see.
Before you book, travel, or apply for any visa or permit, you are responsible for verifying every requirement with the relevant embassy, consulate, or official government source for your specific situation.
3.AI-Generated Content
The Travel Brief and the chat assistant are produced with the help of large language models (currently including Google’s Gemini family). AI-generated content can contain mistakes, omissions, outdated facts, and confidently wrong statements (“hallucinations”). We make a good-faith effort to ground the output in the underlying official sources cited at the end of each Brief, but you must treat the output as a summary and starting point, not as a definitive record. Every Brief lists its source URLs so that you can verify any claim against the originating government page.
4.No Guarantee of Accuracy or Availability
The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We make no representations or warranties, express or implied, that:
- the visa-eligibility results, fees, processing times, or stay limits are complete, accurate, or up to date;
- the Service will be available without interruption, error, or delay;
- the information reflects real-time policy changes by foreign governments;
- the Service will meet your particular requirements;
- any communication, file, or link delivered by the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising out of course of dealing or trade usage.
5.Pricing and Payment
The Travel Brief is currently sold for a one-time price of USD 9.99 per brief, payable in advance via Stripe. Prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes, duties, or fees imposed by your jurisdiction, which are your responsibility unless Stripe applies them automatically at checkout. We may change pricing at any time; changes apply only to purchases made after the change is published.
Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. Clear For Travel does not store your full card details. By providing payment information you authorise the charge and you confirm that you are entitled to use the payment method.
6.Delivery of the Travel Brief
The Travel Brief is a digital good delivered electronically. After successful payment we begin generation immediately and aim to deliver the Brief — both as a downloadable PDF and as a post-paywall web view — within seconds. If generation fails or is delayed beyond a few minutes, contact us at support@clearfortravel.com with your Stripe session ID and we will either complete delivery or refund you in full.
7.Refunds and EU/UK Right of Withdrawal
We will still issue a refund in the following cases:
- the Brief was never delivered through a fault on our side;
- the Brief contains a clearly factual technical defect (e.g. it is for the wrong destination from the one you selected);
- your payment was duplicated due to a technical error.
Refund requests must be made within 14 days of purchase by email to support@clearfortravel.com with your Stripe session ID. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days. We do not refund Briefs on the basis that the underlying government policy has changed after delivery, that your visa application was rejected, or that your travel plans changed.
8.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Clear For Travel and its officers, employees, contractors, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or substitute services, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation:
- denied boarding or refused entry at any border;
- missed flights, hotel stays, tours, or other travel bookings;
- rejected, delayed, or revoked visa, eTA, ESTA, or arrival-card applications;
- fines, deportation, or detention imposed by any authority;
- any health, safety, or security incident encountered while travelling.
Where liability cannot be excluded as a matter of law, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (including, where applicable, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation).
9.External Apply Portals and Third-Party Links
Briefs include direct links to third-party websites operated by foreign governments and other third parties (for example, enterjamaica.gov.jm, imigresen-online.imi.gov.my, embassy appointment portals, and the official websites we cite as sources). We do not control, endorse, or assume any responsibility for the content, security, availability, accuracy, pricing, or practices of those sites. You access them at your own risk. We are not affiliated with any government and we cannot process visa or entry applications on your behalf. Any transaction you complete on a third-party site is solely between you and that third party.
10.Intellectual Property
All content, copy, design, code, branding, and trade dress on Clear For Travel — including the Travel Brief layout, our editorial framings, action-hub copy, and walkthrough guides — are the property of Clear For Travel or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to view the free Service for your own informational use, and a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to read and store one copy of any Travel Brief you have lawfully purchased.
You may not, without our prior written permission:
- resell, redistribute, sublicense, publish, or commercially exploit the Brief;
- scrape, mirror, frame, or build a derivative product from the Service;
- use the Service to train any machine-learning model;
- remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notice, trademark, or attribution.
The official government sources cited in each Brief remain the property of their respective owners and are reproduced under fair use / fair dealing for informational purposes.
11.Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, or fraudulent purpose;
- attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, decompile, probe, or otherwise interfere with the Service or its underlying infrastructure;
- submit, transmit, or upload malware, spam, or any harmful or abusive content;
- misrepresent a Brief or any other output of the Service as an official government statement, legal advice, or visa approval;
- use the Service in any way that violates applicable export-control, sanctions, or anti-bribery laws;
- circumvent any rate limit, authentication, paywall, or technical safeguard.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or that suspension is necessary to protect the Service, other users, or third parties.
12.Eligibility and Age
The Service is intended for users who are at least 16 years old. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
13.Email Communications
When you purchase a Travel Brief we send you transactional emails — purchase confirmation, the PDF attachment, and any service notifications related to your purchase. These transactional emails cannot be unsubscribed from while your purchase is in progress because they are necessary to deliver the product.
We do not send marketing or promotional email without your explicit prior opt-in. Where you have opted in, each marketing email contains a clear unsubscribe link and you can also email support@clearfortravel.com to be removed.
14.Privacy and Cookies
Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference. In short: we collect only what we need to deliver the Service (email address, purchase metadata, anonymised analytics), we do not sell personal data, and we apply GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA-equivalent rights to all users regardless of location.
15.Changes to the Service and to These Terms
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, including the pricing, scope, or contents of the Travel Brief. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the Service prior to taking effect. Continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the Service.
16.Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing the Service to the extent caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: government action, war, civil unrest, pandemic, natural disaster, internet, cloud-provider, payment-processor, or upstream-data-provider outage, denial-of-service attack, or change in third-party API availability.
17.Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Clear For Travel and its officers, employees, contractors, and partners from and against any claim, liability, loss, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the Service; (c) any content you submit through the Service; or (d) your violation of any law or of any third party’s rights.
18.Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Clear For Travel is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of the protection afforded by mandatory rules of the law of their habitual residence.
19.General
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any purchase-specific terms shown at checkout, constitute the entire agreement between you and Clear For Travel concerning the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
